- The path of a Mason requires time, dedication, and discretion.
- Applicants should have a genuine interest in Masonic philosophy, traditions, and charitable work.
- The decision to join should come from personal conviction — no one should ever be compelled or persuaded against their will.
General Requirements
To be considered for membership in the Hiram and Solomon Grand Lodge of Lebanon, a candidate must:
- Be a person of good character and reputation.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Believe in a Supreme Being (in accordance with Masonic principles).
- Be free-born and of sound mind and body.
- Be capable of meeting the moral and ethical standards of Freemasonry.
- Be willing to take the obligations of Freemasonry freely and without coercion.
- Be recommended by two existing Master Masons in good standing.
- Be in a financial position to meet the membership dues and expenses.
Additional Considerations
- No Recruitment: Freemasonry does not actively recruit members; individuals must express their interest in joining.
- Investigation: The Lodge will investigate the applicant's background and character.
- Interview: An interview with the applicant is a part of the process.
